Enrolments

Given the size capacity of Hazel Glen College, the significant enrolment growth over the past four years and the introduction of additional secondary levels, the Department of Education has implemented a Designated Neighbourhood School boundary (DNS).

Guidelines around our Designated Neighbourhood School boundary require us to adhere to the following enrolment criteria, in the order stated, for assessing applications:

  1. Designated Neighbourhood School (DNS)
  2. Siblings
  3. Specific Curriculum Grounds

The map below indicates the Designated Neighbourhood School boundary for Hazel Glen College. The red area designates the Primary (Prep-Year 6) neighbourhood and the blue area designates the Secondary (Year 7-10) neighbourhood.

Foundation 2020 Enrolments Packs will be available Monday 29th April 2019 from our Junior School office 175 Cookes Rd, Doreen.

Guidelines around our Designated Neighbourhood School boundary require us to adhere to the following enrolment criteria, in the order stated, when assessing applications:

  1. Designated Neighbourhood School (DNS)
  2. Siblings (if positions are available)
  3. Specific Curriculum Grounds (applicants outside DNS boundary)

 

Enrolment process

  1. Collect a Foundation Enrolment Pack from our Junior School Office, 175 Cookes Rd.
  2. Complete and return Foundation Enrolment form along with all required documents stated in Foundation Enrolment Pack.
  3. A Confirmation of Enrolment letter will be sent to parents/guardians, including important dates to remember.

Please note: Applications under Criteria 3 will be assessed and the College Enrolment Registrar will contact you in regards to your application outcome once all applications have been confirmed under criteria 1 & 2.

Proof of residency documents required for enrolment into a Designated Neighbourhood School

– A recent copy of a rates notice OR long term lease agreement (lease agreements that expires prior to commencement date cannot be accepted)

– 2 recent utilities bills eg. gas, electricity, water etc. (mobile bills, bank statements and drivers licences will not be accepted).

– In some cases a statutory declaration may be requested by the College.

  • 2 current utilities bill; and
  • current rates notice or long term lease agreement (lease agreement that expires prior to commencement date cannot be accepted)

Year 7 – 2020 enrolments

Step 1.

The Department of Education Year 6-7 Transitions: Application for Year 7 Placement forms are distributed by your child’s Primary School early in Term 2. These forms must be returned to the Primary School your child attends. On this form you will nominate the Secondary School you would like your child to attend.

Step 2.

Criteria 1. Complete the attached form and return by  Wednesday 5th June 2019 to Hazel Glen College, Main Office, 115 Eminence Blvd, Doreen. Year 7 2020 Documentation and Declaration Form
